When you hire (employ) a new member of staff, the new employee must be reported to the State of Florida. This may be done via fax or electronically. Each new employee must complete a form W-4 to ensure that the correct deductions are made for Income Taxes, Social Security & Medicare:
As an employer, you must also ensure that your staff are legally permitted to take up employment in the USA. Each new staff member should complete a form I-9 and the employer should retain this form and copies of necessary supporting documents on file.
